Denise K. Lovett, 67, Taught Paper-Cutting At Easton Senior Citizen Center

NEWTOWN, Conn. - Denise (Hoffman) Lovett of Newtown died Saturday, Nov. 22. She was 67.

Lovett was born June 27, 1947, in Bridgeport, to Edward and Jean (Gasso) Hoffman. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield in 1965 and had been a Newtown resident since 1989. She owned and ran The Book Shop in Monroe for 15 years. She also taught a paper-cutting class at the Easton Senior Citizen Center for many years.

Lovett is survived by her husband, Harry Lovett; daughters, Nora Knight (David) of Sandy Hook and Sara (Jonathan) Hill of Bethel; and a grandson.

Calling hours are Sunday, Dec. 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St., Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Easton Country Day School, 660 Morehouse Road, Easton or Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main St., Newtown.
