Lois A. Gerety, 66, Of Easton

EASTON, Conn. - Lois Adolphson Gerety of Easton died Monday, Oct. 27. She was 66.

Gerety was born Nov. 22, 1947, and grew up in Easton. She graduated from Joel Barlow High School and received her BFA from Paier School of Art in New Haven, and an MA in Art Therapy from University of Bridgeport. She was an art therapist at the Kennedy Center in Trumbull where she spent 27 years working with adults with intellectual disabilities.

Gerety is survived by her mother, Marian Clark Adolphson, of Bridgeport; daughters, Meghan Gerety, Bridget Gerety Small (Sean), and Keelin Gerety Murphy (Ryan); five grandchildren; brothers, Brad Adolphson, of Market Deeping, UK, and Roy Adolphson, of Springfield, Vt.; sister, Lyn Bradford of Los Angeles, Calif.; former husband, Peter Gerety; and companion, Seth Lukash, of Westport.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Greenfield Hill Congregational Church in Fairfield.
