WESTON, Conn. – Mildred Piazza, 97, of Weston, the wife of the late Dr. Louis R. Piazza, died Sunday, Aug. 2.
She was born in Passaic, New Jersey, to the late Alfonse and Rosina Battiste.
She is survived by her daughters, Patrice Kopas (Kenneth) and Carina Silvestri (John), all of Weston; five grandchildren; and a sister-in-law of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings.
Friends are invited to greet her family Thursday, Aug. 6 from 4-8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be private.
