MONROE, Conn. - Sara Whipple Caterson of Monroe, formerly of Fairfield and Easton, died Monday, Sept. 8. She was 69.
Caterson was born in Bridgeport, and was a Fairfield and Easton resident before moving to Monroe. She was a self-employed owner of Tyrawley boarding stables of Monroe. She was a member of the Jesse Lee United Methodist Church in Easton.
Caterson is survived by her husband, Robert Caterson; son, Kevin (Elise) Thomson of Oxford; daughter, Catherine Lee (James) Egan of Prospect; sister, Jeanne (William) Stewart of Matthews, N.C.; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at a later date in Jesse Lee United Methodist Church, Easton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
