Stephen Keenan, Easton Resident, 59

EASTON, Conn. -- Stephen Patrick Keenan, of Easton, and Killington, Vt., died in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, Feb. 26, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59.

Born in Rutland, Vt., the son of the late Eugene and Charlotte Keenan, he had been an Easton resident for the last 28 years.

He received a bachelor of science in architecture from Boston Architectural Center and spent his life practicing as both an architect and a project manager.

He was a former member of the Fairfield County Hunt Club and a member of the Greater Fairfield Board of Realtors. He had a great love for skiing, traveling, design and exploring the outdoors of his cherished state of Vermont.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sarah, include three beloved daughters, Sarah Wheeler Keenan of St. Louis, Charlotte Emily Keenan of Houston and Annabel Frassinelli Keenan of New York City; two brothers, Dr. Michael Keenan of Coventry, Conn., and Joseph Keenan of Burlington, Vt.; four sisters, Patricia D'Addario of Quechee, Vt., Mary Ellen Haff of Killington, Vt., Lisa Kehoe of Charlotte, N.C., and Anne McGrath of Burlington, Vt.; and 14 nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
