Bayusik was born April 7, 1926, to Michael G. Bembera and Virginia Lillian Stafford Bembera. She graduated from Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Holyoke College and a Masters in Education from the University of Bridgeport. She was a long time resident of Easton, having lived there from 1956 until her recent illness when she moved to Torrington to be with her daughter.
She retired from the Fairfield public school system after 28 years teaching elementary grades and gifted children at Holland Hill School.
Bayusik is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth B. Galan, MD (Robert); two grandchildren; sister, Norma Newman; and many nieces, nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
There will be no services. Burial will be private.
