To the Editor:

I’m writing in support of Tony Hwang for state Senator.

As former First Selectmen of Easton, I have had numerous occasions to work with Tony. I have always found him pleasant, responsive and easy to get along with. He is a representative with integrity whom you can trust. His record of bipartisanship speaks for itself. Tony balances fiscal accountability with social responsibility. Moreover, he is a representative who thinks and re-thinks issues.

I recently read in the paper a letter praising Tony for his support of commuter needs, but questioning Tony's statement about his comfort level in supporting certain bonding legislation. Decisions to provide needed funding are always difficult. I am pleased that Tony is astute enough to care about both sides of the equation and balance necessary spending against obtaining the funds to spend. All of our representatives should be so careful.

Tony is the right candidate for Easton and the entire district he will represent. I ask you to support him in the upcoming election.
