REDDING, Conn. - A serious motor vehicle accident on Route 7 about 5:00 p.m. caused major injuries. Redding police report three cars were involved, two people had to be extricated from their vehicles and one is in critical condition at Danbury Hospital.

Route 7 was closed while the crash is investigated by major accident investigation officers.

REDDING, Conn. - Edward C. Heere of Redding died May 16. He was 68.
