Connecticut Girl Falls Between Gap At Port Chester Train Station

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A 3-year-old girl fell between a train and the platform at the Port Chester train station Tuesday but suffered only minor injuries, according to police.

The girl was running ahead of her mother as they were exiting the southbound train at about 10 a.m. when she fell into the gap, police said. A nearby man reached down, grabbed the girl and quickly pulled her up.

The girl, whose family hails from Bridgeport, Conn., hit her head and scraped her knee. An ambulance took her to Greenwich Hospital for examination.
