Man Stabbed Near Norwalk Police Headquarters

NORWALK, Conn. – A heavily bleeding man walked into Norwalk Police headquarters at One Monroe Street on Thursday at about 12:50 p.m. Police said they think he was stabbed and are investigating.

The victim did not appear to be seriously injured, Lt. Brian Cunningham said. He was talking and alert, and was transported to Norwalk Hospital. There, he was found to be in the possession of illegal drugs, Lt. Praveen John said. 

The victim and the suspect are known to each other, according to Deputy Chief David Wrinn, who added at 4 p.m. that he expected an arrest of the suspect soon.

Police found what appeared to be a blood trail on the corner of Chestnut and Monroe streets.
