Norwalk Man Charged With Hitting Cop

NORWALK, Conn. – A Norwalk man was tasered after hitting a police officer following a fight with family members Monday evening, police said.

Police said they received a 911 call from a house on West Rocks Road. The caller hung up the phone, but police said a woman could be heard screaming in the background. When officers arrived at the house, they spoke with a man who said his son, Kenneth Aubin, 57, had attacked his other son after an argument, police said. Police said the victim had blood all over his face, hands and clothes.

Police said they found Aubin in his bedroom, and when he was asked to stand up, he started yelling and cursing at the officers. Police reported Aubin appeared to be intoxicated, and said he took a swing at one of the officers and damaged his uniform. According to police reports, Aubin continued to be aggressive and started hurling racial epitaphs at the officers.

The officers tasered Aubin and transported him to Norwalk Hospital for treatment. He later was charged with assault on a police officer, a felony, as well as interfering with an officer, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, all misdemeanors. He was held on a $50,000 bond and went to court Tuesday.
