Seligson sent a text message to John Dupee, 38, of Center Street in Norwalk, police said. Soon after, Dupee and an accomplice were arrested at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Norwalk with narcotics, police said.
According to police, Seligson’s text read in part, “It’s Todd, Tony’s boy, are you around? I need 10.” Officers who had the cell phone responded and set up a meeting with Seligson in a parking lot on Westport Avenue and apprehended him there at about 1 p.m., police said.
Officers searched Seligson’s car and found a black lunchbox with more than 200 prescription pills, including Oxycontin, police said. Seligson also had $536 in cash, in addition to other drug paraphernalia, police said.
Dupree and Tony Bucciarelli, 31, of Couch Street in Norwalk were in Dupree’s car at the park when police approached the vehicle, police said. Norwalk Police said that officers asked for identification, and the two allegedly began acting suspiciously, which led to police asking them to exit the car.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a four-inch pipe with white powder residue, a small amount of marijuana and one 15 mg Oxycodone tablet, police said.
Seligson, of Beachside Avenue in Westport, was charged with possession of narcotics, criminal attempt, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacturing, distribution or sale of prescription narcotics, failure to keep drug in original container and related charges. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on April 12.
Dupee and Bucciarelli were charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to keep drugs in original container and possession of a controlled substance. Dupee was additionally charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license. Both were released after posting $500 bonds and are also scheduled to appear in court on April 12.
