Jeanette Navin, 55, and Jeffrey Navin, 56, are a married couple who recently moved to 77 Staples Road in Easton.

"We are looking for any help that we can get from the community," Shaw told the Daily Voice on Tuesday evening. "We are still reaching out to family and friends."

The Easton Police Department is asking for help in locating the two Easton residents, who were reported missing by their family on Friday.

A vehicle belonging to the Navins was located by the State Police on Aug. 9 off Exit 42 of the Merritt Parkway in Westport.

Shaw said the vehicle had sustained some vandalism. The Easton Police Department is working with State Police to find out more about when the vandalism happened and are also looking for any leads that may come from the car, he said.

Easton police are working with other law enforcement agencies in an effort to find the missing couple, Shaw said. Officers worked throughout the weekend in an attempt to locate them with no luck, according to Shaw.

Jeannette Navin has worked as a paraprofessional at Weston Intermediate School for 18 years, according to The Hour. Jeffrey Navin is owner of J&J Refuse in Westport, The Hour reported. They are former residents of Weston, living at 37 Osborn Farm Road, The Hour said. (Read the Hour's full story here.)
