Kathleen Hill, 54, of 18 Eleven O'Clock Road, Weston, was charged with breach of peace, third-degree assault and interfering with an emergency call. She posted $1,000 bond and will appear in court Aug. 11.
Westport police responded to a home at 8 p.m. Saturday on a 911 call reporting that a woman was assaulting a man at the house. Police said it sounded like the phone was forcibly taken from the complainant and thrown.
When officers arrived, they spoke to the male complainant, who had a small red mark on his left cheek, according to police reports.
He said that he had been at a restaurant earlier drinking with Hill, who became intoxicated and was asked to leave the premises, according to police. The man told police that due to her intoxication she became irate and confronted him about leaving her to pay the bill, police said.
Police said that Hill's significant other was in the house at the time of the confrontation but could not confirm or deny the allegations made against her. He told police he did not see her rip the phone away from the complainant or strike him, police said. Hill was then placed under arrest.
