Redding Police Release Identity Of Apparent Heroin Overdose Victim

REDDING, Conn -- Redding police have released the name of the 25-year-old man who died Thursday, July 16, from an apparent heroin overdose, according to thereddingpilot.com.

Alberto Queiroz, 25, of Seventy Acres Road, was found dead at his home around noon, police said in the story. Queiroz was last seen alive that morning, according to the Redding Pilot.

Attempts at reviving Queiroz through CPR and the administration of Narcan — a medicine that can pull a person out of a heroin overdose — were unsuccessful, according to the Redding Pilot.

The  medical examiner has not yet made a final determination on the cause of death, according to the story.
