Shots Fired In 'Huge' South Norwalk Crime Scene

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk Police descended upon South Norwalk Sunday evening to investigate gunfire stretching over several city blocks. A sergeant refused to comment on what she described as a "huge crime scene," as the investigation was in progress, but a resident of the area said that "boys" shot at each other, but no one was hurt.

Police shut down Woodward Avenue between Meadow and Sheridan streets after the report of shots fired came in at 7:38 p.m. At least 10 police cruisers were on the scene, and patrol officers were searching the bushes well beyond the area that had been closed. At least one vehicle had a bullet hole in it.
