While there were no injuries, the crash caused an oil spill in the corner of the lake.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, Mount Kisco, Bedford and Armonk police and fire officials were on scene figuring out how to contain the spill.
"The crash has created a sizable spill here and it's important we keep it contained since this water supply is used for drinking water," said Mount Kisco Fire Department Chief Tom Jackson.
Because the body of water is used primarily for a drinking supply for the town of Bedford and Village of Mount Kisco, officials from the Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Conservation and Hazmat were also expected to arrive to evaluate the extent and consequences of the spill, said Jackson.
