Babcock Named Alternate On Weston's Board Of Assessment Appeals

WESTON, Conn. -- The Weston Board of Selectman accepted the Republican Town Committee's recommendation and appointed Barbara Babcock to fill an alternate position on the Board of Assessment Appeals.

“We are very pleased that Barbara has joined the Board of Assessment Appeals as its newest member, and appreciate her willingness to contribute her talents and enthusiasm to serve Weston residents,'' said Dawn Rivera, vice chair of the RTC and chair of candidate recruitment. "Barbara's extensive background in real estate and knowledge of our local market make her very well equipped to be thoughtful and effective in this capacity.”

Babcock has 22 cumulative years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate and has been actively selling residential real estate throughout Fairfield County for over 12 years.

The Board of Assessment Appeals accepts applications to review all types of property taxes, both real and personal as well as motor vehicle assessment appeals. 

“It is an interesting position that directly impacts the town and I believe my past work experiences would be a great fit for the board,'' Babccok said.
