EASTON, Conn. -- Easton Republican Party leaders sent out a recent email touting their slate and criticizing write-in candidates Val and Derek Buckley after the couple's failed bid to be on the ballot as Easton Coalition candidates in this year's municipal election, according to a report on Patch.com.
The letter said the paperwork filed by the pair to form the Easton Coalition party was deemed insufficient by the Secretary of State, the article said.
Republican First Selectman candidate Adam Dunsby is running against Val Buckley for first selectman.
Derek Buckley is seeking another term as town clerk.
