October Hill is a luxurious estate in Weston offering direct river frontage that is being marketed by Joni Usdan and Emily Gordon, sales associates affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Westport-Riverside office.

The event participants were offered one-on-one instruction by Shawn Kelly, an experienced instructor who also provided a short seminar on casting techniques.

October Hill, located at 222 Lyons Plains Road in Weston, was selected because of its prime access to the Saugatuck River and has been identified as one of the premier spots for fly fishing in Fairfield County.  Click here for the property listing.

The property, with 679 feet on both sides of the river, as well as private access to some of the finest trout fishing in the region, is being offered for $8.95 million.

“It was our pleasure to host this group of fishing enthusiasts who truly appreciate October Hill’s location and its incredible access to the river,” said Usdan. “In addition to the majestic river views, this property features lavish interiors and extraordinary design elements.”

Gordon added, “The home is ideal for those who seek privacy and a tranquil setting, but also desire space for entertaining family and friends.”

Located on more than 10 acres, 222 Lyons Plain Road offers 10,836 square feet of living space, with six en-suite bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and four half baths. The residence was completely renovated by the current owners, who restored and expanded the home.

Among the highlights are a chef’s kitchen, ballroom, infinity pool with cabana and fully equipped summer kitchen, movie theatre and wine cellar.

Orvis, a high-quality sports outfitter and the longest continually operating fly-fishing business, regularly offers fly-fishing classes for beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced fishers who want to hone their skills.
