Conyers Farm Home In Greenwich Hits Market For $65 Million

GREENWICH, Conn. -- The Greenwich home of businessman Thomas Peterffy in exclusive Conyers Farm was listed for sale for $65 million, according to a story in The Wall Street Journal.

Peterffy is the founder and chairman of Interactive Brokers Group. According to Wikipedia, he played a key role in founding the Boston Options Exchange and worked as an architectural draftsman after coming to the United States from Hungary. He was one of the leaders in developing the electronic trading of securities on the American Stock Exchange.

The Wikipedia profile said Peterffy had a net worth of $6.4 billion in September 2013 and was the 76th richest person in the U.S.

The home at Conyers Farm has 10 bedrooms, 9 full baths and three half-baths. It has 8,038 square feet and was built in 1904.

According to the listing, the main house has been superbly restored. Some of the property features include 22 stalls and close proximity to polo fields. There are also four cottages, beautiful gardens, a pool, poolhouse, tennis court and new two story private office.
