Mamaroneck Teen Held Up at Knifepoint

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A group of men robbed a Mamaroneck teenage boy, 17, at knifepoint, stealing his iPhone, wallet and keys, said Lt. Robert Koziak of the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.

The Mamaroneck teen was walking on Weaver Street north of Palmer Avenue Aug. 18 at 12:15 a.m. when he was approached by four or five males, who have only been identitied as either white or hispanic. They threatened the victim with a knife and took his iPhone valued at $200, keys and wallet containing his New York State driver's license. The suspects drove off northbound in a dark-colored vehicle.

The following items were reported in the Town of Mamaroneck Police blotter between Aug. 13 and Aug. 19.

Aggravated Harassment: A juvenille victim received a threatening text message in his Hommocks Road apartment Aug. 19. Another juvenille victim in the same location also received a threatening text message. The mother reported the incident, which police have classified second-degree agravated harassment.

Grand Larceny: An unknown person stole an Apple MacBook Pro 13 worth $1,577.00 Aug. 16 from a Wood Street home. Police received a report of fourth-degree grand larceny by phone after the resident discovered their computer was missing.

Burglary: Police responded to a third-degree burglary at a Lakewood Lane home. An unknown suspect broke into the single-family home and stole a yellow emerald with diamonds worth $12,000 and a 4.5 x 7 inch gold-thread rug worth $27,000. Police responded to an activated alarm and found the door open when they arrived.

Grand Larceny: Police received a report of fourth-degree grand larceny. An unknown suspect stole several items from an unsecured locker at the Hommocks pool the afternoon of Aug. 13. The items include a Motorolla Droid cell phone worth $200.00, a monthly Metro-North train pass worth $215.00, a New York State driver's license, one credit card and one debit card, a wageworks card, and a Cigna Healthcare card.
