MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The Tigers' state champion field hockey team was cheered Tuesday by hundreds of fans at Mamaroneck High School's Memorial Field.

The Local Live plans to interview members of the team Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Tune into Larchmont Mamaroneck Community Television (LMC-TV) on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 36. All shows are archived and rebroadcast. Or, watch the LIVE stream on www.lmc-tv.org

Sunday's win over Sachem East in the Class A final marked only the second state field hockey title in MHS history. You can watch two back-to-back goals scored by the Tigers in 20 seconds at Maine-Endwell High School near Binghamton here: The Tigers' season tally of 144 goals to just four for all their opponents made them the third highest-scoring field hockey team in state history. They won 21 games and lost only one game.

The Mamaroneck Board of Education honored the state champions at Tuesday's regular meeting.

Also recognized for its League and Sectional playoff accomplishments during Tuesday's ceremony were the high school swim team -- which is sending four girls to States at Ithaca College this week -- the boys and girls soccer teams and the football team.

For Thursday's Local Live show, you can ask the State Champions questions by calling 914-381-0150, emailing thelocallive@lmc-tv.org, or tweeting @thelocallive #statechamps
