'Gentle' Thanksgiving Dinner's Proceeds To Help Wayne Animal Ministry

WAYNE, N.J. -- God’s Creatures Ministry, a Wayne religious nonprofit that advocates for animals, will hold a “gentle” Thanksgiving dinner Saturday, Nov. 21, at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Oakland.

The ministry said that no animal will suffer for the fest. It hopes to raise funds for its programs, which include helping people with veterinary expenses and caring for stray animals.

The dinner will honor a “special person who helps stray cats,” the organization said.

The event starts at 4 p.m. It will include a “tricky tray” and 50/50 drawing.

Reservations are required. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for children ages 5 to 13. Children under age 4 are free.
