Clarkstown's Younghans Named State's Top Secondary Assistant Principal

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. – Clarkstown High School South's assistant principal, Matthew Younghans, has been chosen for a top award by the state School Administrators Association, according to a report in the New City Patch.

Younghans is now officially the 2016 New York State Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year, an honor given only to the very best educational leaders, the media outlet reported.

He was recognized for a number of contributions, most notably his mentoring of new teachers, his guidance of students, and his approachable and consistent leadership style, the report said.

An awards ceremony is planned for May in Albany, according to Patch.
