Madeleine Noiseux Chenette, 90, Longtime Ridgewood Resident

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Ridgewood resident Madeleine Noiseux Chenett died Monday, May 2. She was 90.

A native of French Canada, where all her family still resides, Chenett received a Diploma of Letters and Sciences from the University of Montreal.

Chenett lived in Ridgewood for 50 years, working as a sales representative in Burgdoff Realtors' Harold Clark Division and as a substitute teacher of French in the Ridgewood Schools.

She had a membership in the Northwest Bergen Board of Realtors, as well as the Bergen County Multiple Listing Service and was a member of the Friends of the Hermitage, the French Club and the Alliance Francaise. 

She is survived by her daughters Claire Collins-Cona, Denise Jones, Diane Reinhardt, Michelle Matouk and Renee Bogdanffy; sister Claire; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews in Quebec, Canada.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1 Passaic St. in Ridgewood. 

Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Ware, Mass. 

In lieu of flowers, it was Chenett's wish donations be made to the Sister Lucy Fund, c/o Mt. Carmel Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood, NJ. 07450.
