EASTON, Conn. -- Several Easton students recently received academic recognition in college.
Easton's Jacqueline Eckhardt was named to the Dean's List at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.
Easton's John Thomas Sullivan was recently part of a study abroad program for Champlain College. Sullivan, an international business major, studied abroad at the Champlain College's Campus in Dublin, Ireland. At Champlain's state-of-the-art Academic Center in Dublin, Sullivan and other students have the opportunity to receive international perspective and prepare to be global professionals.
Derek Popp, of Easton, made the Dean's List for fall 2013 at Rochester Institute of Technology. Popp is a first-year student in the computer science program at RIT's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.
Easton's Eve E. Barna, majoring in medical studies, was named to the Dean's List at DeSales University. DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa., is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts university affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church.
Four Easton students earned Dean's List honors at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the fall 2013 semester. The students were Michael Mullaney, Matthew DiPalma, Monica Leszczynski and Geoffrey Rosenthal.
The New England School of Communications recently announced that Easton's Andrew Shaykin was named to the Honors List for the fall semester. The New England School of Communications is part of Husson University in Bangor, Maine.
Easton's Alexandra Knopf was named to the Clark University Dean's List for the fall semester. The selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Fall 2013 semester.
Fairfield University named 10 Easton students to its fall 2013 dean's list. The students were Elizabeth Bouton, Kristina Gaffney, Michael Grainger, Andrew Hoover, William Kraekel, Firdaus Kudia, Meghan McCloat, Kerri Moffatt and Michael Olynick.
Two local students were named to the DeSales University Dean's List for the fall semester. The students were Eve E. Barna, a resident of Easton, and Victoria R. Storey, a resident of Redding.
