Easton/Redding Parents Set Qualities Wanted In New Region 9 Superintendent

EASTON/REDDING, Conn. -- Officials from the Region 9 school district have been seeking input from Easton and Redding residents in an effort to find the best possible new superintendent, according to the Redding Pilot.

The current superintendent, Bernard Josefsberg announced his retirement effective at the end of this academic year. He has served as Region 9's superintendent since 2011, the Redding Pilot said.

As part of the opinion-gathering process, school officials held a forum for parents to participate as well as an online survey where residents could weigh in, the Redding Pilot reported.

Some of the primary concerns included transitioning students from middle school to high school, special education and declining enrollment, the Redding Pilot said.
