Schools Closed In Easton, Redding, Weston Due To Coming Storm

EASTON/REDDING/WESTON, Conn. -- Schools in Easton, Redding and Weston were closed Tuesday in anticipation of the winter storm expected to arrive in the area.

The school closures include Joel Barlow High School in Regional District 9. 

Easton Country Day School and the Easton Senior Center were closed as well. 

Western Connecticut State University was also closed, delaying final exams until Wednesday. (Read more about its schedule for Tuesday here.)

Morning driving tests were canceled at the state Department of Motor Vehicles. 

Snow was expected to begin falling by about 7 a.m., affecting the morning rush hour, with 2 to 4 inches total predicted. Connecticut, the Hudson Valley and the New York City region were under a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
