REDDING, Conn.– A study skills workshop for high school students will be held at Joel Barlow High School in Redding. The workshop will be held by Successful Study Skills 4 Students from Aug. 20 to 22.
The workshops foster academic achievement by teaching students key study strategies that help them learn while reducing stress.
Students will learn 10 essential, logical and easy-to-implement skills that are essential for successful learning and studying: goal setting, time management, note-taking methods, asking questions, active reading, understanding main ideas and important details, using visuals, summarizing to learn, notebook organization, and quiz, test, and long-term project preparation strategies.
S4 program provides materials that complement and outline the workshop sessions. They are designed for ongoing student support at home. Each three-workshop session costs $395. The workshops run from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
