Westport Opens Registration For Continuing Ed Courses For Kids, Adults

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Looking for a course to take for fun this fall? Westport Continuing Education offers a slate of classes for children and adults alike. 

Westport Continuing Education offers quality, affordable after-school programs for children in grades K-12, including the American Red Cross Babysitters Course, art, badminton, chess, Chinese, Club Bed, cooking, junior hoop dance, karate, Lego bricks 4 kids, lights-camera-action, Mad Science, rocketry, study skills, tennis, sports & homework clubs, theater workshop, ACT Prep, SAT Prep, Driver Education and more. 

Adults can choose from numerous enrichment classes, including popular classes such as computers, photography, creative art, culinary, foreign languages, finance, career, fitness, dance, music as well as many others.

In addition, classes are free for Westport, Weston and Wilton adults seeking to complete their high school education, learn the English language (ESL), or to prepare to become citizens.

Class locations and registration dates are as follows, and applicants must register in person:

  • Sept. 22 and 23, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Staples High School, 70 North Ave., Westport
  • Sept. 17, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wilton Library,

    137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton (ESL only)

  • Sept. 18, 9:30 to 11 a.m. One Canal St., Westport (ESL only)
