Westport’s Elizabeth Youngling and Alexander Perkins were named to the team, along with New Canaan’s Andrew Campbell. Guenter Buetter of Wilton will be a coach on the team. The regatta begins July 23.

Youngling, who is entering her senior year at the University of Virginia, will row on the Women’s Eight. She rowed at Saugatuck Rowing Club before going to Virginia, which won the NCAA title in  2013.

Youngling has been a key member of the top crews for the Cavaliers, including the Women’s 8 that won the Atlantic Coast Conference championship this spring. She competed in the double sculls at last year’s U23 world championships.

Perkins is a rising senior at the University of Washington. He rowed at Kent School, and will be on the Men’s 8 crew for the U23 team.  He also trained at Saugatuck, and made a U.S. team for the second time.

Campbell, who competed for Norwalk’s Maritime Rowing Club, made a U.S. team for the ninth time. The recent Harvard graduate will compete in the single sculls, where he finished seventh last year at the World Rowing Championships. He is the defending gold medalist in the event at the U23 championships.

Erin Reelick, a former member of the Norwalk-based Connecticut Boat Club, will compete for the Women’s 8 and the Women’s 4 on the U23 team. Reelick lives in Brookfield.
