Aspetuck Wildcats Qualify Two Cheerleading Teams For Nationals

WESTON, EASTON AND REDDING, Conn. – The Aspetuck Wildcats Division 13 team won the New England championship in the American Youth Football and Cheer competition on Saturday in Hartford and will compete in the national championships in Florida.

The Aspetuck Wildcats Division 10 team took second in the New England Region. The team will join the Division 13 team in representing Aspetuck at the national championships in Florida next month.

Aspectuck’s 10-year-old team also qualified for the national championships by finishing second.

In Division 13, Aspetuck won the Large Red Division. The Division 10 team took second in the Small Red Division.

The teams will travel to Orlando for the national championships from Dec. 12 to 15. 

Aspetuck, one of the most successful cheerleading teams in Fairfield County over the past decade, includes girls from Weston, Easton and Redding.
