Conn. Premier Plans Tryouts For Girls Basketball Players In Westport

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Connecticut Premier AAU girls basketball is inviting girls ages 8 to 17 to a seven week fall clinic at Staples High School beginning in September.

The clinics begin on Saturday, Sept. 17 and end on Saturday, Oct. 31. 

The team will be holding tryouts for its AAU teams on Oct. 24 and 31. 

The session for players in grades 4-7 is from 9-10:30 a.m. Players in grades 8-12 will have their clinic from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

The clinic and try outs will be run by  Dave Danko, the head girls basketball coach at Fairfield Warde high school and Steve McGillicuddy, Director of Connecticut Premier. They will be joined by many other high school and AAU coaches.
