Easton Triathlete Has Another Top Finish

EASTON, Conn. – Easton triathlete Chris Thomas finished 11th overall and second among amateurs in the Ironman 70.3 mile Timberman race Sunday in Gilford, N.H.

Thomas won the 40-44 age group, finishing in 4:15:6. He finished the 1.2-mile swim in 29:14, the 56-mile bike ride in 2:19:14 and the 13.1-mile run in 1:24.10.

Earlier this summer, Thomas won the KIC It Triathlon in Stamford and also captured the Pat Griskus Olympic distance triathlon for a sixth straight year.

Thomas qualified for the Ironman World Championships earlier this year. He is the owner of Personal Training Professionals in Southport.
