Easton's Chris Thomas Repeats As Champion At Stamford Triathlon

STAMFORD, Conn. – Easton’s Chris Thomas captured his second straight Stamford KIC It Triathlon championship Sunday.

Thomas finished the Olympic distance course in 1:58:59.2, more than seven minutes ahead of runner-up Pie Geelen. Luke Tuddenham finished third, followed by Darien’s Joseph Turcsanyi.

Greenwich’s Emma Langley led the women’s field in 2:28.02. Langley is a recent graduate of Greenwich High School, where she was a member of the swim team. Casey Frobey finished second in the women’s division, and Sarah Borell took third.

The race benefits Kids In Crisis of Cos Cob, which provides help for children dealing with domestic violence, neglect, substance abuse and family conflict. Kids In Crisis provides free, round-the-clock support.
