Some Fciac Football Match-Ups Rescheduled Due To Snowstorm

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The approaching snowstorm sent some Fairfield County football teams scrambling to reschedule Thanksgiving Day match-ups. 

Some of the Thanksgiving Day football rivalry match-ups have been rescheduled due to an approaching snowstorm.

Among the rescheduled games in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference on Tuesday:

  • Wilton High School will play Trinity Catholic High School at home at Fujitani Field at 6 p.m. 
  • Joel Barlow High School will play Weston High School at home at 5 p.m. 
  • Danbury High School will take on Ridgefield High at home at 6 p.m. .
  • Bridgeport's Bassick High School will play at home at Kennedy Stadium at 6 p.m. against Bullard Havens Tech. 
  • Notre Dame-Fairfield will travel to play at Pomperaug High School at 7 p.m. 

One game is scheduled for Wednesday: 

  • Westhill High School will travel to play Stamford High School at 6 p.m. 

Games still scheduled for Thursday include: 

  • Darien High will play at New Canaan High at 10:30 a.m. at Boyle Stadium in Stamford.
  • Fairfield Ludlowe will play Fairfield Warde  at Tetreau/Davis Field at 10 a.m. 
  • Greenwich High School will play Staples High at home at Cardinal Stadium at 10 a.m. 
  • Brien McMahon High School will play away at  Norwalk  High at Testa Field at 10:30 a.m. 

  • Bridgeport Central High will play away at Harding High's Harding-Hedges Field in Bridgeport at 10 a.m.
