A total of 16 teams from across the state and Long Island, including the Westport Weston Water Rat Swim Team, will be competing in the five-event format.
The meet will close the Aquatic Center for all other uses on Saturday, Jan. 10, and until 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11.
The Gymnasium is also closed to open use, except for regularly scheduled programs, while the meet is under way.
The Wellness Center and Group Fitness class schedule is unchanged, but the parking lot will be busier than normal. Allow for extra time if you have a class this weekend.
A shuttle bus will be available at the commuter parking lot near Exit 41 of the Merritt Parkway, opposite the Connector Road from the Red Barn Restaurant.
"Our Y has built a reputation of running top-level meets in Connecticut, and more and more teams are looking to get into our meets," said Water Rat Head Coach Ellen Johnston after last year's Pentathlon. "The compliments I receive from visiting coaches about how nice our parents are and how well our meets are run is a testament to the great parents' group we have."
The YMCAs in Wilton, Fairfield, New Canaan, Darien and Greenwich will remain available to Y members and regular patrons over the weekend for those looking to swim.
The Westport Weston Family YMCA is located at 14 Allen Raymond Lane in Westport. More information is available online at westporty.org or by phone at 203-226-8981.
