WESTON, Conn. – Weston High graduate Alex Peyreigne, a sophomore goalie for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, was named the Landmark Conference Player of the Week.
It was the second time Peyreigne has earned the honor. He made 24 saves in two games last week as Merchant Marine beat Maritime, N.Y., 13-3, and Catholic, 14-8.
Peyreigne has started all five games for Merchant Marine and has a goals-against-average of 7.87. He was a four-year letter winner at Weston and helped the Trojans win the state championship in 2010.
