Westport’s Max Meyer-Bosse won a silver medal, while Erin Reelick, a Brookfield resident who rowed for Norwalk-based Connecticut Boat Club, also won a gold medal.
Youngling, a May graduate of the University of Virginia, and Reelick teamed with seven other women to win the Women’s Eight. Russia won the silver and Great Britain took the bronze.
Youngling also won gold on Saturday in the Women’s Four. It was the second straight year Youngling was a member of the gold-winning team in the event. Canada took second, and Great Britain finished third.
Meyer-Bosse helped the U.S. grab second in the Men’s Eight on Sunday. Germany won gold, and Russia took silver.
Youngling and Meyer-Bosse are both graduates of Staples High School and competed for Saugatuck Rowing Club.
