Kayaker Dies After Overturning In CT Lake A missing kayaker died after his vessel capsized while he was reaching for a lost paddle, authorities said. The incident took place in New Haven County in Guilford on Quonnipaug Lake on Sunday, May 23. The missing paddler, an adult male, was recovered from the water by the Guilford Dive Team and CPR was administered, said Will Healey, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Women Ejected From Vehicle During Fiery Bridgeport Crash, Police Say A woman was ejected from her burning vehicle during a crash on Route 25 in Bridgeport. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, when the woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling southbound on Route 25 just before the split in the highway near exit 5, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. The woman was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over and then brust into flames, Jones said.
