He has played over 200 rounds of golf since becoming president. I don't think professional golfers have played that many rounds.
He has sidestepped every issue that has come up that he has created with his foreign policy. Look at his polls...He is the worst president in the history of the U.S. Shame on you for voting for him twice. View Comment
Yep. I agree lastcard.
Its so obvious that we need to stop all flights. All the people that have been admitted have come from Liberia or someone that has been in contact with someone from Liberia, ground those flights.
If someone has Ebola like symptoms they should be quarantined...and I mean quarantined, not let go and given access to public transportation. I don't know who to be more angry with, the Ebola victims or the authorities that should know better. View Comment
"We all like the president, and we are happy that he is coming to town," Farricker said. "But it is a private fundraiser."
Speak for yourself Farricker. Not all of us in CT "like" the president. In my opinion, I think he is the worst president in the history of the United States. View Comment
This is great news!! I just came back from vacation yesterday. Went down south...really got me thinking that I will be moving OUT of the NE in the near future...goodbye snow, high taxes and liberal states...hello sun :) View Comment
"It makes people feel safe and a sense of trust in the community. Especially for undocumented youth"
To me this sounds VERY scary..they are undocumented so how are they able to get these things free when US citizens have to pay for them? How is this right? They should not have the same freedoms that US citizens are supposed to have.
Yes, I feel for them, they are running from gangs and the drug cartels I get it. But its still not right. I cant believe it is happening right here in Norwalk, right in our very own backyard. Shame on CT and Malloy for allowing this. Or we could even go to the top and complain about Obama, he is the one allowing this. View Comment
I agree with you Sheridazz, where is our president at? Shouldnt he be helping and assisting the citizens of the United States? But no, he is more interested in getting votes and gaining campaign money which should actually be going to those poor folks who lost homes and family members in the storm that he didnt plan for. The only thing he really did was be seen with the Gov. of NJ, spoke at the Red Cross and be flown back to his campaining.
He probably things that the N.E. states are blue so it shouldnt really matter...hopefully the swing states see this type of nonsense and vote him out of office. View Comment
I am a republican and I went out of my way to make sure that I did not vote twice and i agree that it is wrong and shame on those that do vote twice.
But think about this...maybe republicans arent voting twice..maybe even some democrats are voting for romney...have you thought about that? People are tired of Obama and people want a REAL change. View Comment
I agree..Obama seemed to come out too hard and agressive on the last debate. He should have been like that on the first debate. I think the way Romney came out, calm and collective made it look more honorable and Presidential. Obama didnt seem presidential at all..almost childish. View Comment
From the debate team they say that Romney decided this type of strategy on his own. I must say that Obama did look more aggressive on the last debate than Romney did although Romney did stand on his own and defend himself.
Obama did seem a little too aggressive and rude at times. Did you notice when Romney asked him on both the Apology tour and skipping Isreal on his trip to the middle east, Obama was speachless..I loved it. View Comment
I think Romney clearly came out on top in last nights and the last Presidential debate. Obama did look better than his 1st and 2nd tries but it was clear he was "trying" to be too aggressive. So much so that he looked like an idiot and spoke way to much rambling on his every word. In some instances he was even offensive.
I loved how Obama talked his way out of the question from Romney about not supporting Isreal and his Aplogetic tour...did you see him stumble on his words trying to figure out a lie to tell the American people..i loved that one.
I mean what President bows to other nations leaders..come on people.
You cant look at any polls right now..the liberals are looking at the liberal polls and the right side are looking at fox...everyone is supporting their own candidate so the polls are very inacurate. Everyone is biased on both sides.
(I voted once by the way..for Romney) and I do work. Have you thought that maybe everyone is voting for Romney is because people are desperate..people want a REAL change. Its not about pointing fingers and sharpening swords and words..its about our future and our childrens future.
But I truly do believe we need a new President. Obama just isnt doing it for the American people and we deserve, demand and need a new person in office. View Comment
To answer your question...perhaps some Democratics are actually voting for Romney? They voted for Obama in 2008 and dont want to be stuck with him for another 4 years....Both Dems and Repubs are out of work...not just Romney supporters. View Comment
Hey Tim...at it again I see.
I could say the same thing about Obama..liar and a flip flopper...and here we hear it again...blaming Bush for all the mess we are in. Typical Left wing comment.
Obama has had 4 years to fix it but has he? Nope...the deficit has almost doubled since Obama has taken office. The unemployment rate has actually gone down though which is good...but its because people have lost hope and have stopped looking for work altogether. yeah Obama is such a great leader, right? lol
Im voting for Romney who has a track record of creating jobs and businesses...that is what we need to support our small businesses who boost our economy.
If I am a brainwashed wacko right wing idiot...so be it.
At least I'll be voting for my morals and christian views, which is what this country was founded upon in the first place.
Who wants a president who is pro-choice, pro-abortion?? Everything that is against what our Bible says?
But we'll see how eloquently Biden will bring up Obamas numbers tonight in the VP debate. lol View Comment
Good morning..I read Tim T's comment and I just had to register.
To counter what you said Tim T. I usually come on the daily voice just to read the news and I usually see you rambling on..lol But what you said about the republicans is just complete nonsense and every typical democratics reply..to blame Bush and to praise Obama for "trying" to fix Bushes faults, when in fact the deficit has actually doubled since Obama came into office.
I am neither Republican or Democrat and am looking at both Obama and Romney, but Romney is looking a little better, more truthful and honest.
Can you really trust a President who is so open in lying to the people? Look at the attack over in Libya and the cover up? Look at what he did to Isreal....a President who would rather be on talkshows and play golf than to speak to a Prime Minister who is desperatly worried about his own county, but is giving billions of dollars to anti-American countries that want to kill each and every Christian and Jew..where is the foreign policy?
The polls dont even mean anything and some of those are totally biased. They go up and down every day by who knows where those numbers come from.
*sigh...just my 2 cents.
I respect you Tim as a person and I aplogize if I have offended your political beliefs...I just needed to get that off my chest..thanks. View Comment
I just wanted to give my 2 cents on the article on "Norwalker: City Needs to Be Bicycle Friendly"
Yes, I totally agree with your article that Norwalk needs more biketrails for the biking community. I understand that Connecticut is a colonial state and that it was born before the U.S was even created, but so was Boston and NY who were on Bicycling Magazine's top 50.
I was born and raised in California where I can jump on my bike any time and any day and just ride through the streets and I had a bike trail that could take me through the city with no worries. But you can do that here in CT, there are no trails and hardly no sidewalks. The sidewalks here are uprooted and warped where you are forced to go on the sidewalks. Too dangerous.
I have 2 daughters and they have been begging me to get them bicyles for their birthdays which I have just this past spring. But it was a huge letdown for them, because we cant ride them around town. Thank goodness we live on a cul-de-sac, but they can only ride around in circles which gets boring. I want to encourage them to ride their bikes, but I am hitting a brick wall here.
Although, this past summer we went to Cape Cod, MA and they hade a 26 mile long bike trail that went along the street, it is actually an old train rail that MA does not use anymore so they turned it into a bike trail. But my family had a blast and I hope to do it again next summer. I just wish there was something like that here in Norwalk.
But Nancy I encourage you to be a voice for the families here in Norwalk, speak up and let your voice be heard and thank you for your time.
