It's about which programs are most important within the schools, input from parents. It's their chance to say what is working, and it's their chance to be heard. No one is telling you you can't go.
Bruce Kimmel what rock are you hiding under? You can't travel through Norwalk without seeing tons of graffiti, broken up roads, construction cones, cops on cell phones, taxes up, school scores down, shootings.. crimes... unsolved... a mayor who doesn pretty much nothing but attend ribbon cuttings and you think it's just Dems who think this? No, Bud, it's us Republicans too who think Norwalk is moving, in the wrong direction. We finally have a great Superintendent, yes, but thanks to you and the Republicans? No.. let's stop placing blame and work together, and I am GLAD the Dem Hopefuls are listening. We need someone with that skill.
Maybe if the city wasn't run by a mayor that likes to tote himself as a "Not Politically Correct Mayor",maybe we would all be lead and run by more civility. But you have a mayor that mouths off, a BOE that has no chutspa to fire a crappy principal but let the taxpayers pay her salary at City Hall at a pretty little sum of over $166K/year, we have a cop that beat his wife but still get to keep his job, another who is often the highest paid Norwalk employee who has a disciplinary record a mile long, we have less services from Public Works but they can have raises and hang out on dead end streets taking naps, maybe the moral of the city citizens would be a little higher. But we have no one in leadership but a couple of odd council members that actually keep a professional demeanor. I have been many city hall meetings, BOE meetings, and I feel like it's all for naught and been a waste of my time. I hope that someone out there listens at some point. View Comment
