I think in the light of what's gone on in this state over the last year,
perhaps they should experience a "scared straight" day in a jail like Ossining or the like! Obviously they have no supervision and WAY to much time on their hands I'm sure Chief Fuchs will do something to occupy their time now! View Comment
Just so Mary and everyone else is aware. I have studied the laws, and for the most part they (the bikers) ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THEM!
If a motorcycle or an automobile ran stop signs, traffic lights and the like, the motoring public would be up in arms and take down license plate numbers (bikes don't have them) to report them to the police, but because they lack these they are untraceable, which means that unless an officer witnesses the infraction, it is impossible for them based on the color of a shirt or bike for ANYONE to make a plausible motion for arrest. When someone runs into your car on a bike gets up and walks away after inflicting
$2-3000.00 of damage or you need to run your car off the road to avoid one YOU WILL! change your tune. At the very least if the bikes are granted the cycling laws the should abide by them or at the very least be required to be licensed so when they do something against the law they are held accountable.
And lets hope (I personally doubt this will happen because there is no way to track him down for the reasons I have previously outlined) that the person who hit Threlkeld is arrested! View Comment
It is always a terrible loss when someone is killed and the perpetrators don't even stop, I hope they arrest the people responsible. And if that includes a pack of bicyclists....so be it!
But as a side bar the way most of the bikes run around not following the rules and laws of the road like stopping at stop signs, it is not surprising that more than one has been killed. The bicyclist's think they own the roads and don't follow the law unless there is a police presence at the stop signs! And we the motoring public get yelled and swore at to often to count!! sad sit...perhaps its time!! maybe the girl left out some things???NO not my daughter from Westport,, No could it be so??? Now that the parents have made such a spectacle and degraded the camp perhaps its time they were sued, Just sayin what do you all think? VOICE YOUR OPINIONS! View Comment
Wow another parent from WESTPORT attempting to CASH in what a shock!
Inappropriate behavior is what they were kicked out for, who knows what if anything went on, But the counselors neck is on the line because anyone with a brain can tell that if the girl or the boy yelled RAPE its the educator whom would be in jail or at least at the attorneys office because of a suit brought by the parents.
Take responsibility, this is obviously something you are condoning which leads to a bigger question...or maybe not, perhaps that's how she was raised! View Comment
Good to see that the state tree removal is working so well, they have completed the work in Norwalk. AND guess what we all paid for it so who is accountable for this ...Malloy needs to fine or fire the responsible party's, but you know what's going to happen?? ,NOTHING AS USUAL!!!
And people want to know why so many people are moving out of state....
Want to go for a nice scenic drive on the Merritt Parkway...call your attorney first
So to all you people whom voted for him TOUGH!! View Comment
What a waist of taxpayer money! Absolutely no trial!!!
Put him in downtown Boston and let the people STONE him, and the rest of the family that "knew nothing" the old fashion way, until dead at least . And the first rocks should be thrown by the people and family's hurt in the Blast!!! View Comment
And they still have their JOBS????
Does the IA and Chief think this is a one time infraction? I doubt it? It was the first time they got caught Ill bet. I could be wrong but....just sayin! If a civilian did this to a under AGE person!!! THAT PERSON WOULD have been arrested and defacto probaly lost his job and house.
THIS IS SOME MESSAGE THEY ARE SENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!! View Comment
Whats next, will they be allowed to carry guns, be required to speak english fluently, and vote!
My fore fathers fought in wars so that we would have our rights,so I ask you who is going to monitor the insurance they must have to drive. And whether or not the vehicle they drive is actually insured? Sure wont be the state of CT!! And I dont mean 100/300 because as everyone with a brain knows that coverage wont pay for a Dogs recovery in the hospital let alone a human. View Comment
who would want that?
OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM AT WORK!
Wait until the first arrest with the new Gun laws what a show that will be , here is one sceinario, Man arrested for having gun with 9 rounds in the clip one in the chamber thats technically 10 but the gun law reads 10 in the clip...buts thats 10 in the gun?????? View Comment
What I want to know is? who at cl&p thought this up? He or she is clearly dilusional!! What other business in the WORLD is able to punish its customers with price increases because of profits real or imagined do not meet the profitability that is forecast. NONE!! Only a utility company could or would expect US the consumer to pay for their folley, any reasonable responsible person in business should have insurace coverage for "loss of business"
And I offer this IF this somehow gets passed along to us, I think its time for some smart lawer to start a class action lawsuit to recover all the money we all lost!!! View Comment
