Bridgeport just had a buy back on guns anyone know how many Norwalkers were part of the 150 guns turned in?There is a reason Norwalk PD gives this crime release out on the two crimes, they don't have to talk about the facts we would all like to see. View Comment
wow this was done before, yet the big question is who's letter head?Last time Sacred Heart did this there was a lot of under handed political playing where Norwalk Police letter heads were used and a whole lot of games with its victims before and after the survey.maybe this time the city can be honest with its residents so far it hasn't gone that way in years. Its like we just heard recently the police dept is certified, anyone can be if you buy the certificate like Norwalk has alwasy done. This ought to be good watching the games p[lay out now that we have a new mayor but yes he knows the games that go on after election he helped coin them years ago and yes its always after the election if the crime seems to be high. Now the next game is to see the crime stats two years from now reflecting the past year.Norwalkwers deserve the truth timely not after the fact after the next election. Harry has done well but there is work to be done so some of his picks may be ill fated from the start. But Mo said what? Moccia tweeted that “Norwalk decided to go in a different direction.”
Yes your honor they have hoping some things change we will see won't we?
Today at 12:15 the police dept was working an emergency and needed the DPW so what in your the taxpayers mind happened? NOTHING it was lunch time leaving the police dept waiting for a call back after lunch,,,yes Dick you have passed Harry a mess so Harry what are you going to do its not the employees its your police fire and other city services tyhat need your help your on deck Harry lets see you fullfill your promise your team at least most of it have dropped the ball over the years so its up to you to help those men in blue that help us 24/7.This has to be your first challenge having a city department pick up the phone and do the job expected from the rest of us.
Have to admit we all picked Harry because we knew the evil that lurked after 8 years and now we wait for the evil we may not have known.
What about the emergency? It can wait its time for lunch at the DPW what a life the old man has on Smith street maybe he will retire change the game up a little for the taxpayers.
Maybe this is your challenge Harry see if your DPW will answer your police dept when they are needed not when its conveniant and maybe you will win the hearts of those who can't stand some of the ones you picked for the new team.
So if you didn't know how the city runs before this under Moccia lets see what it does after Mo leaves.maybe in the meantime someone can ask Dave McCarthy to intervene and help Harry out he seems to have invented slice bread while in the Navy.
Thanks for the advice Jackie,If I had the decaf today it would of slowed me down to talk about the stabbing where a woman was left with a large knife in her back on the streets of Norwalk to die.Norwalks image has been shot no need to thank anyone in particular at this point all of our politicians need to understand the election is over the fight for quality of life is ongoing thanks to our roster of folks who think they know Norwalk.More arrests and incidents in our Norwalk schools has increased by 20 percent since our State rep told us all how good we were doing,as a rule when they are wrong its old information that SOUNDS good why report failure thats what I do. Im sorry I must add to this,Our state reps always say they have nothing to do how the city is run for years yet look at them now between NEON and our Mayors race they seem to have found something on Norwalk to run using every last drop of our blood sweat a tears now let them tell us they can't do anything now.Time to find someone who wants to go to the State house work for Norwalk and deliver more than mouth jargen when it comes to reasons why they can't help us in Norwalk.Take a long hard look at our three state reps and tell me what else can they take from us on the climb to the top? I know this won't post won't last long some say the reps have grown long arms into the press we will see. View Comment
typical weekend and its been going on for years, and this is what Norwalkers want?We have great high school bands outstanding sport teams and a great place to live yet over the years Norwalk is known for one thing last call and bar room brawls.Whats going to change this type of behavior supports our city becuase there is only one thing to do as the sun goes down. But our state reps probably look at this in an other way,the kid is young he will heal fast so he can grow up and be seasoned to live in South Norwalk where this type of incidents run high on the streets of Norwalk.Maybe this is why Norwalk has lost its draw for the family and good business to the city.Your headlines should reflect what Norwalers expect broad knocked out officers draw overtime at the Hospital and Rilling is in the warm up pen.Its a game to those politicians who convince voters to make mistakes in desperation of some sort of quality of life.Notice thats never on the promises anymore in Norwalk its not attainable as long as we have politicians who promise one thing and deliver nothing that makes sense. The name of the club is not the Hells Angels thay have rules they are civil compared to most Norwalks bars.Hope the woman and man are OK that was Moccias tax money coming in now its Harry's same deal just another red herring.Every cruiser in the city at bar closing has its position and its not the rest of the city its just the bars.Wonder if you took the breakins the next morning and matched them to bar fights there may be a pattern anyone care to guess what it is? Maybe now the outfall pipe spewing whats in Oyster Park hazardous waste landfill can be tested and maybe stopped its not that far away from aquarium I'm sure one of our State reps can help them find it. View Comment
Only good that could come out of this is our State Reps understand they pushed for Rilling now help Norwalk out and get us some HELP! Hate to see this next two years full of the same problems with no solution, next election whoever is on deck should understand Norwalk can bring change to all levels of politics. View Comment
your right I did Collective, now we all need to focus on the three State House clowns who did the Democrats in.They may have won this election but now that they have made enemies its unlikely they will cruise to another term themselves. There are a lot of us who were let down I'm sure next election we will all sharpen our pencils and make the changes that are truly needed. one can only hope someone passed a final report of the Oyster shell Hazarous waste site to Harry so he could understand how this site was left when given back to the city. There are those politians who ignored that warning but rode the ribbon cuttings all the way to the end. This site was never cleaned up it was deemed safe before Norwalk started digging there a few years back you can be certain there are dangers and no one in Norwalk can tell you what they are and now makes it a mistake to any development. This may be an issue Bob that may bite you you as your term expires, from what was said in local circles you may be ill advised along with other issues that have effected most of us recently.I wonder if the vets can support you as they have in the past.Since June 5th what else has gone on? You have given us all a lot to think over the years this subject is certainly not going away no matter what the spin is.Now it all makes sense the what was said in meetings at city hall. What position does the other two wisemen from Norwalk take? Its not always about you Bob its about us who served our country. Why now and not June 6th do we hear your take?I'm still driving others to NY to the Vets Hospital there in the Bronx from Norwalk help there takes very little and the rewards win over any election for those of us involved. From what I can see Vets do a lot more for our own than is recorded reported or written.Maybe looking at this again and offering your thoughts may be the way to go.You did tell St Vincents to sharpen their pencils and they have in advance of the next election. One thing is kind of odd,the only ladder truck we have that seems to be outdated and has been replaced with newer ones gets a lot of work just the same. The bell tower full of bees and so many more tasks takes a bucket over the years.I can hardly wait to see the new one replacing this one used in this picture.
The bridge has to be replaced its on the horizon bet our own State reps have no clue the work the bridge needs.Imagine the mess downtown Sono will be.
Norwalks perfect planning will be set in motion you wait. View Comment
Good thing someone called Norwalk fire, you would think they would of been the first there not knowing what was inside. This by the way could happen a lot as many as three trucks a week are backed out almost hitting the bridge guess Norwalk is lucky other cities take a pro active stance on accidents like this whats Norwalks problem?Obviously The Hour didn't seem to be interested in the traffic backup the work our firefighters had to do and yes the desperate need for equipment, new trucks new boats new caution tape new station doesn't always do.Give McCarthy a C+. Whoever gave Gail Lavielle her information must be from another planet. Not even this district deserves to be fooled with another pro playing the game.Response from this article shows the interest that should be given election day.
Single Stream Recycling brought a convenient, environmentally and economically sound system to our city
WOW I could spend all day on just this comment alone,I can assure you the rest of the political letter won't flush down the normal route most of it is so vile.
Most cities and towns make 50 percent more if the recyclables are sorted when given for collection and to those elderly who can't make it to the street during good weather who don't go to Fla for the winter I guess to bad.
This has to be the most arogant letter so far in this election leaving out what hasn't been done and what has cost the city the most in the hands of Mr Dave.
Tree city USA sits right up there with crime, ingnorance of flood zones and 30 dollar an hour grass cutters around all sewage pumping stations instead of youth jobs for the summer yes Davis you have done so well.
Enough of your good will now what about the city that has seen so many smoking mirrors in the past few years as improved services.
Anyone but you David would be a better choice. View Comment
where are our three state reps? The will take credit when its done yet the process full of flaws continue.Contamination found along 95 ignored for years by Norwalk was cleaned up shame it had to wait so long usually a city protects its residents and state reps make sure money is there seems to have been also put off for a while.Working at non peak hours will generate some rep PR but the truth lays with the feds its an interstate with federal money so they the feds probably dictated the work hours or the State would be in danger of having federal money put on hold so yes a great idea to help the backups but from whose office did the plans come from? Our State reps are gearing up in the news for the kudo yet some of the news has very little to do with Norwalk what a shame mom use to say work begins at home.Next election home should show the reps what has been ignored.
