African Storytelling, Crafts Planned For Fairfield Museum

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Museum and History Center is presenting Handcrafted African-American History on Monday, Jan. 18.

The free educational event is for families and children ages five and up.

Storytelling with Lot Therrio starts at 11 a.m. Listen to fascinating folktales told by master storyteller Lot Therrio. 

From noon - 2 p.m., view images of African-American folk arts and quilts in the Education Classroom and create collages and handicrafts by these traditions.
