$50-$65 for runners
On Sunday, November 4th, the Kiwanis Club of Weston will host its first annual Reservoir Run fundraiser sponsored by Gatorade. The scenic 13.1 mile run will begin and end at the Weston High School track and will feature the autumnal beauty of Weston on the roads along the Saugatuck Reservoir and River. This run promises to be one of the most beautiful races of the fall season and will include runners from all over the northeast!
The race is limited to the first 700 registrants and will take place rain or shine. Marty Schaivone of MS Running will be directing the chip timed run. Don’t miss your opportunity to join in the festivities and enjoy custom designed finishers medals, dri-fit shirts, food and prizes for overall winners and many age groups! Register online today at https://www.raceit.com/search/event.aspx?id=12489 or view the web page at http://www.thereservoirrun.com.
The beneficiaries of this year’s Reservoir Run are Purple Heart Homes, Inc., an organization that provides personalized housing solutions for service-connected disabled veterans and their families; ELIMINATE, a joint effort of Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) by 2015; and the Weston Kiwanis Club Foundation.
For over thirty-five years, the Kiwanis Club of Weston has worked to support worthy causes in the community and surrounding areas through a combination of community service, philanthropy and assistance to youth and to citizens of all ages. Recent endeavors include increasing emphasis on programs to reach out to meet the needs of children and seniors and the community at large.
