ONLY ON CVP: In the second incident of its kind in the immediate area today, a tractor-trailer took down a utility pole and wires — this time in Little Ferry, a short distance from where a paving truck was nearly incinerated after snagging on overhead lines.
The transformer in tonight’s incident on Niehaus Avenue came down, the same as the one in Teterboro this afternoon (SEE: Heavy wrecker removes torched dump truck that downed power lines in Teterboro).
PSE&G and environmental crews responded along with Little Ferry police and firefighters.
No injuries were immediately reported.
