Car Break-ins Befuddle Mamaroneck Residents

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The owner of a car parked on a driveway on Fenbrook Drive Monday told police their rear passenger window had been broken and a laptop worth $1,500 was stolen.

A laptop bag, a passport, personal papers and checks were also taken.

An unknown person broke the rear driver's-side window of a car parked on Mohegan Road Monday, causing $200 in damages.

A Briar Del Cir resident said Monday that someone broke the driver's-side window of their car and stole their 2009 black Magellan GPS, worth $200. Someone took two mirror glasses from two different cars parked in the lot of a Mercedes Benz dealership on 2500 Boston Post Road Monday. The mirror glasses were each worth $141.57. A dispute among family members broke out in the Trader Joes parking lot Saturday, causing one person to fall and cause damage to their car. No one is pressing charges. A Dillon Road resident lost her Direct Express Debit Card Sept. 1 and reported it stolen Friday after noticing fraudulent charges.
