New Leader Appointed At Norwalk Hospital

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Western Connecticut Health Network has named Michael Daglio, its senior vice president and chief operating officer, as the new president of Norwalk Hospital

The appointment was announced on Wednesday, Dec. 3. 

In addition to leading day-to-day operations at the hospital, Daglio will oversee facilities, operations and service lines across the network. 

Before his role as senior vice president and COO of WCHN, Daglio was the chief operating officer of Danbury Hospital. He joined Danbury Hospital as the service line executive for cardiovascular care in 2004.

In other appointments, Daniel DeBarba, executive vice president of WCHN, was named the new president of Danbury Hospital and New Milford Hospital. 

Dr.l Thomas Koobatian will continue to serve as executive director and chief of staff at New Milford Hospital.

"Our mission began, and is firmly rooted today, in our communities,"  Dr. John M. Murphy, president and chief executive officer of WCHN, said in a statement. "These local leadership appointments demonstrate WCHN's commitment to the integral relationships between each hospital and its community. Dan and Mike are extraordinary leaders. By tapping into their knowledge and expertise, all three hospitals will be ready to respond to the changing needs of our patients."
